Academic Life
Family First Academy provides a traditional, non-military, college preparatory boarding education for young men and women, grades 8-12. Our program is designed to bring out the best in each student through immersion in a nurturing environment that combines structured guidance with self-reliance and personal development and discovery. Challenging academics, small class sizes, attentive staff and a close-knit community provide an ideal learning experience for both domestic and international students.
All FFA academic programs are provided through our affiliate school, Erie First Christian Academy (EFCA). FFA’s academic programs have been specifically designed and developed expressly for FFA’s unique student body. All classes are held on EFCA premises, which are located approximately 200 yards from the FFA residence hall. EFCA are members of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), www.acsi.org. All EFCA teachers are fully certified.
Academic classes are complimented by a full roster of extracurricular and campus activities that can be customized to meet the needs of each studentincluding interscholastic sports, intramural athletic programs and leagues, recreational programs, social clubs, and student government. Private tutoring and specialized programs for gifted, learning disabled, elite athletics, and fitness and weight management are also available. Individualized attention is ensured by matching students with academic, athletic, and residential mentors.
