Welcome to Family First Academy (FFA) - English Language Center
FFA English Language Center exists to help your child learn the English language and become familiar with American culture before starting High School, College or University. Through textbooks, writing material, hands-on projects and much more, students will transition to the American culture and become confident in speaking and writing the English language. Students will also participate in various field trips in the community to help enhance their learning experience. These excursions will give your child the opportunity to practice English skills as they see and hear it in real life. The curriculum was specially tailored by well-known American experts on education especially for international students. The courses are taught by American instructors in an engaging teaching style, and the small class size allows students to improve their language proficiency quickly. FFA’s curriculum allows international students to solve problems that they may face in the course of their language studies, beginning with effectively improving students’ grasp of practical English. FFA monitors and addresses problems students encounter with cultural differences during their studies, actively helping them adjust to life in America through our TOTAL IMMERSION program.
Total Immersion, 100% of class time and 75-90% of each day is spent in the foreign language. The goals are to become functionally proficient in the foreign language in the following ways:
- To master subject content taught in the foreign languages,
- Write excellent essays for college acceptance,
- Speak clearly and articulate one’s thoughts and feelings
- Acquire an understanding of and appreciation for other cultures.
FFA English Language Center has its own safe, quiet independent campus, located in the beautiful Great Lakes region of the United States where local citizens speak with no accent. Our excellent educational and residential facilities allow students to meet their full potential in all aspects of life. The professional and unique team here at FFA provides individualized, professional advising services and encourages students to pursue personal development as they prepare for the future.
